Vermillion Area Farmers Market

This Week at the Market

June 24, 2009 · Leave a Comment

We should have a more abundant week than last, with our regular vendors back from Czech Days, and more new vendors coming all the time as their fields begin to produce abundantly.  Strawberries are now in season, and the ones we had last week from Evergreen Farms (certified organic!) are to die for!

Also back at the market: Erin Nelson of Irish Twins Handmade Soaps, bringing a wide variety of yummy-scented soaps made from natural ingredients and essential oils. She’ll also have her (awesome! I tried it!) laundry detergent and a new item: homemade doggie biscuits made with real cheese, chicken, and beef.

Dad’s Bakery will be there, too, with his wonderful cookies and breads, and Bob Corio of Dakota Harvest Lamb will be there grillin’ and sellin’ great cuts of lamb for your Fourth of July festivities. We at Flying Tomato Farms will have spring cabbages, a few of the first delicious heads of sustainably-grown broccoli, sugar snap peas, and maybe even a few more goodies.  Come early for the best selection!

See you at the market!
